Editor's note: This is the first of four stories featuring female members of Team Fairchild who have been recognized during Women's History Month as outstanding contributors to the local community.

Tech. Sgt. Stacy Trosine, 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron flight service center NCO in charge, has been selected as one of four Fairchild Air Force Base women to be recognized during Women's History Month.

Trosine was selected based on her mentoring and physical fitness, and in particular her passion for running marathons. So far she has completed 10 marathons and five ultra-marathons.

Due to her deployment in 2014, she was inspired to hike the Washington Pacific Crest Trail this coming August to raise money for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Warrior Foundation.

Trosine has already raised $1,600 for the Wounded Warrior Project by running a 50 mile ultra-marathon and is continuing to raise money for their program by running 123 miles this spring.

She runs multiple ultra-marathons every year and devotes her free time to helping mentor people on marathon running at a local running store.

Trosine has demonstrated many qualities of being a great role model for women and all Airmen.
