92nd Air Refueling Wing change of command
The 92nd ARW change of command ceremony will be May 22 at 11 a.m. at the parade ground across the street from the White House.

Heartlink briefing
A Heartlink briefing will be conducted 6 - 9 p.m. May 10 at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. This brief is designed for spouses who are new to the military lifestyle.

T-ball and coach pitch program
- T-ball and coach pitch registration is currently taking place. T-ball is for ages 5 - 6, and coach pitch is for ages 7 - 8. The cost is $35. A current physical is required. The league is non-competitive and teaches basic fundamentals, good sportsmanship, self-esteem, self-reliance, group achievement perspective and team sports appreciation in a fun and safe environment.
- Smart Start T-ball is a parent and child program for ages 3 - 4. The cost is $45. Children learn the basic fundamentals of T-ball in a zero-pressure environment.
- Registration for both programs is at the Youth Center Monday through Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Call Tad Miles, Youth Sports director, at 247-9622 for details.

Club Fairchild improvement survey
92nd Services Squadron marketing is conducting an activity survey to help improve programming at Club Fairchild. Customer feedback has a direct impact on programming, and Club management is eager to listen. Please go the survey link at www.fafbservices.com and take this short, online questionnaire.

Airmen's meal
The 92nd Maintenance Operations Squadron will host the Airmen's home cooked meal at the chapel May 9. The menu will include spaghetti. Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Palace Chase briefing
A Palace Chase briefing will be held in the Military Personnel Flight conference room (Bldg. 2245, room 227A) May 10 at 1 p.m. The briefing is open to all ranks.
Palace Chase is an early release program which allows active-duty personnel to transfer to the Air Force Reserve before their established date of separation.

Military spouse appreciation
A Military Spouse Appreciation Day celebration will be held at the Airman and Family Readiness Center 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. May 11. All military spouses and their families are invited for a free barbecue and open house. Military Spouse Appreciation day was established in 1984 by President Reagan as the Friday before Mother's Day.

New hours at the Funspot
Summer hours start May 14. New hours are: Mondays and Tuesdays, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.; and closed Sundays.

Command chief farewell luncheon
A farewell luncheon in honor of Chief Master Sgt. Judy Ruiz and retired Chief Master Sgt. Lupe Ruiz will be at Club Fairchild in the ballroom at 11:30 a.m. May 16. Cost is $9.50 for club members and $11.50 for non-members for a chicken marsala and bow tie pasta buffet.
Please R.S.V.P. to any first sergeant by May 8.

Bulk item pick-up
Personnel living in Fort Wright Village, Officer Capehart and Senior Officer Housing have bulk item pick-up May 17. Those living in Galena Station, NCO Capehart, and the main base and survival dormitories have bulk item pick-up May 24.
· Items must be less than 10 feet long
· Items must weigh less than 300 pounds
· No hazardous materials are accepted
Typical items include:
· Appliances, furniture, lawn mowers
· Tires, bikes, electronics
· Goodwill items (marked with "Goodwill")

OSH Pancake Breakfast
Operation Spokane Heroes is hosting a pancake breakfast from 7 until 11 a.m., Armed Forces Day, May 19, at the Washington Army National Guard Readiness Center, 1626 N. Rebecca in Spokane.
Pancakes, eggs and sausage will be served for $5 in advance or $7 at the door. Advance tickets are available by calling Shawn Mayo, the chairwoman of Operation Spokane Heroes, at 299-7670.
The food will be prepared by Navy Reserve cooks, and all the ingredients were donated by local businesses and individuals.
Operation Spokane Heroes is a cooperative partnership between the Greater Spokane Incorporated, the Spokane Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau, Global Credit Union, Northern Quest Casino and the Spokane Armed Services Community. OSH supports military of all branches in the Spokane area, and the families of those who have deployed.
They organized and funded more than 500 gift bags at Christmas time for military families. They hosted and funded the Carousel party for active duty military families at Riverfront Park in December 2006.

Golf tournament
5th Annual Society of American Military Engineers Golf Tournament takes place June 1 at the Wandermere Golf Course. Shotgun start for the best ball scramble is at 7 a.m. Entry fee is $65 per player or $240 for a foursome. Price includes a round of golf, a cart and an all-you-can-eat hamburger and salad lunch.
The tournament is open to SAME members and nonmembers; proceeds benefit the SAME Lewis and Clark Post Scholarship Fund. Tournament sponsorship opportunities are available for $100, $200 and $325.

Air conditioner brackets
Fairchild's new air conditioner brackets are the required standard installation method for window air conditioners in family housing. The brackets are available for family housing occupants (limit of two brackets per household) at the Family Housing Office, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Installation instructions and parts are included in the package. Housing Inspectors will be available to answer questions. Air conditioner brackets will be included this year's summer inspections.
