Damage to KC-135 outside fuselage skin
Example damage casued by the nose landing gear door while using the standard Air Force web-belt strap on Sept. 19, 2018, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. Tech. Sgt. Shawn Roberge, 92nd MXG aircraft structural maintenance section chief, had the idea of creating a nose landing gear door lock that prevents this damage from occuring.
