The event consisted of a toast to honor fallen 92nd ARS members, a trip down memory lane and the history of the 92nd ARS, a cookout and a live video chat with deployed members of the squadron.

    On Aug. 31 of this year, the Air Force celebrates the 60th birthday of the KC-135 Stratotanker. The first aircraft flew in August of 1956 and was later delivered to the Air Force in June 1957.
  • Fairchild Falcons battle JBLM

    Fairchild Air Force Base’s hockey team, The Falcons, played in their first Veteran’s Hockey Game against Joint Base Lewis-McChord Aug. 27, at the Eastern Washington University Recreational Center in Cheney, Wash. The purpose of the game was to build relationships with other varsity hockey teams in the Pacific Northwest region.
  • Education center welcomes new university

    Team Fairchild welcomed Bellevue University as the fourth school to join the Fairchild Education Center during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 25. Bellevue University is a private, regionally accredited, non-profit school nationally recognized as a military-friendly institution. Col. Ryan Samuelson, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, was joined by Dr. Mary Hawkins, Bellevue University president, during the ribbon cutting.

  • Team Fairchild welcomes KC-46A Site Survey Team

    The Secretary of the Air Force announced candidate bases for the next active duty KC-46A basing action June 23. To support the next phase of the Air Force Strategic Basing Process, narrowing the candidates to preferred and reasonable alternatives, a site survey is being conducted at Fairchild AFB July 31 through August 6.
