New commissary brands hit Fairchild

Commissaries across the United States started seeing the rollout of the Defense Commissary Agency’s (DeCA) new commissary brands ‘Freedoms Choice’ for food items and ‘HomeBase’ for nonfood items at the end of May and beginning of June with bottled water, plastic bags and paper products.

Fairchild continues support of private well owners after Airway Heights water advisory lifted

City of Airway Heights officials announced this afternoon that a 24-day long advisory not to consume tap water from the city’s municipal water system has been lifted. The Air Force will discontinue delivery of bottled water to affected residents of the city of Airway Heights at 10:00 p.m. tonight.

The 92nd and 141st Maintenance Group held a Fall Maintenance Olympics Nov. 15, 2016, at Fairchild Air Force Base. Seven teams participated in four events held throughout the day including circuit building, safety wire challenge, aircraft ground equipment race and a drunken tricycle obstacle course.
