Chief Cody visits Fairchild
Eighteenth Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. James Cody of Scott Air Force Base, Ill., speaks to a capacity-packed theater of Fairchild Airmen March 6. Focusing on the most recent topics coming from the Air Force’s top leadership, Chief Cody relayed to Airmen current and future changes to include Total Force Integration, the Operational Readiness Inspection, enlisted performance report inflation and how it can change, taking advantage of the education system and its benefits, the new presidential administration, privatized housing, and the current physical training program. Varsity Basketball
Fairchild Varsity basketball team hopefuls listen intently to the rules of trying out, given by Steven Pitters at the Fitness Center Feb. 25. Try-outs are being held for the Fairchild Varsity basketball team through Feb. 27, as well as March 2 and 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. Active-duty members have top priority for try-outs, but civilians are welcome to give it a shot as well. For those interested in trying out, a completed Air Force Form 303 must be brought to the try-outs. One of the goals of the Varsity team is to compete against other local teams and eventually other Air Force Bases, Sergeant Smith said.
