Kenneth Rains, 92nd Medical Group first sergeant and AFSA treasurer; Senior Master Sgt. Gary Gonzalez, 373rd Training Group Detachment 13 and incoming AFSA vice president, chapter 1462, present Chief Master Sgt. David Nordel, 92nd Air Refueling Wing Command Chief with two $51 checks - one from the 1462 Chapter and one from the AFSA Division 14 President, Chief Mater Sgt. Ret. Yeomans Feb. 3. From Nov. 5 to Dec. 31, 2008, AFSA Chapter 1462 had a recruiting drive with an outcome of 51 new members. With a pledge from the Division 14 President CMSgt. Ret. Yeomans to contribute $1 per recruit toward the Wing Command Chief fund. The Chapter pledged to match those funds from Division 14, dollar-to-dollar. 6S spells success

David Nordel, 92nd ARW command chief, walk through 23,000 lbs of old desks, filing cabinets, and couches collected during the first day of 6S at Hangar 1023 Feb. 3. 6S stands for Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain and Safety. It is an Air Force Smart Operations for the 21st Century tool to help get people organized which make tasks run more smoothly and efficiently, removing unused furniture and clutter, minimizing safety hazards.
