U.S. Air Force Survival School demonstration

A U.S. Air Force Survival School instructor uses a large fire hose to shower students inside the Modular Egress Training System April 1, 2015, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. The METS simulates being inside an aircraft as it goes down in water, providing students with training on how to survive if they ever encounter a water survival situation. Congresswoman visits base firing range

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, U.S. Representative for Washington's 5th congressional district, toured Fairchild Air Force Base with Col. Brian McDaniel, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, April 1. During the tour, McMorris Rodgers viewed a demonstration from the U.S. Air Force Survival School, the weapons firing range and the base Teen Center.

McMorris Rodgers visited primarily to see more of the Teen Center's 4-H program, which is the nation's largest youth development organization, as well as see the unique capabilities of the 336th Training Squadron's survival school.
