Congresswoman tours base pool

Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, U.S. Representative for Washington's 5th congressional district, surveys some survival rafts through the fog created by the humidity in the Aquatics Center while on a tour led by Col. Jonathan Duncan, 336th Training Group commander, and Col. Brian McDaniel, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, April 1, 2015, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. McMorris Rodgers received a demonstration by U.S. Air Force Survival School students, showing what they would do if a plane they were in crashed in a large body of water. The Aquatics Center is used for recreational and lap swimming as well as an indoor water survival training facility capable of simulating waves, thunder and lightning, wind and other conditions aircrew might encounter.
