MEFF upgrades launch Published March 27, 2017 By Senior Airman Mackenzie Richardson 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Fairchild’s Warrior and Ross Mission Essential Feeding Facilities launched their healthier, made-to-order options with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Mar. 27. Base leadership was invited to receive a presentation from numerous 92nd Force Support Squadron Airmen and taste test the new concepts. "We want our leadership to experience the new concepts firsthand and also be able to advocate for the great food we are serving," said Capt. Jeremy Buyer, 92nd FSS sustainment flight commander. "This isn't the dining facilities from 50 years ago, it isn't even the same dining facility as 2016." The new concepts are an expansion on the standard Food Transformation Initiative operation, making Fairchild the third base in the Air Force to incorporate the healthier and cost saving Super Sonic Subs, CIAO Pizza and Big City Grill.
