  • Team Fairchild performs all -women refueling flight

    An all-female air refueling mission was performed by Team Fairchild Airmen today in honor of Women’s History Month at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The effort highlighted women’s integration in every aspect of the 92nd Air Refueling Wing mission, which is to provide responsive air refueling and agile combat support across the full-range of military operations.
  • Fairchild celebrates BSC week

    Team Fairchild honors the Air Force’s Biomedical Sciences Corps’ 54th anniversary by participating in the Air Force’s recognition of BSC Appreciation Week 28 Jan. through 1 Feb. The BSC comprises of a diversified range of subject matter experts within the Air Force’s patient care systems, such as optometry, clinical psychology, pharmacy, physical therapy and many more.

  • Fairchild’s Airmen support KC-46A, B-52 training

    Airmen from Fairchild’s 384th Air Refueling Squadron supported a KC-46A Pegasus during a training operation with a B-52 Stratofortress in the Northwest region of the United States, Oct. 3, 2018. The purpose of the training mission was to test the new refueler’s capability to perform inflight refueling connections specifically with the B-52 airframe.
  • Fairchild hosts CMSAF Binnicker 9K Memorial Run

    Airmen and civilian members participated in the CMSAF Binnicker 9K Memorial Run benefitting the Air Force Enlisted Village at Miller Park here Sept. 22, 2018. The Air Force Sergeant’s Association hosted the event in honor of Chief Master Sgt. James Binncker, who served as the ninth Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force, was the CEO of the Air Force Enlisted Village from 2000 through 2015 and is credited for building the foundation of what the AFEV stands for.

    Jimmy “LJ” Now was just another two-year-old boy before he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He played outside, spent time with his family and became fascinated with planes and helicopters after receiving a military soldiers toy kit for Christmas.

    Throughout the month of August, the 92nd Security Forces Squadron MWD section trained with the 36th Rescue Squadron to learn and become familiar with the components of a huey aircraft in preparation for deployment missions.
  • Fairchild Airmen perform first test of new chemical defense mask on KC-135

    In the midst of calm or chaos, there lies a potential for aircrews to fight the faceless combatants of chemical and biological agents. U.S. military personnel actively operate within areas that maintain the capability to employ these agents, making individual protective equipment imperative to mission readiness. Fairchild aircrew members performed the first-ever test of the Joint Service Aircrew Mask on a KC-135 Stratotanker during a night-flight July 17.
  • Stay alive to enjoy the ride: free motorcycle safety class

    Team Fairchild 92nd Air Refueling Wing safety officials are providing a free intermediate motorcycle safety class scheduled to inform and train Airmen on current policies at 8 a.m., at the installation motorcycle range July 26. The intermediate motorcycle safety class is being held to mitigate risks as motorcycle riding continues to be a leading cause of fatal mishaps for Airmen.
  • Growing produce to grow in community

    Military families from the 336th Training Group teamed together in the month of May, to transform unkept plots, overgrown by weeds, into the foundation of the Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Kids’ Garden Club. With the intention to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as a community with each other, the SERE Kids’ Garden Club has grown to include ten SERE families, all sharing in the tasks of maintaining the plot.
