  • Ops never stops! Fairchild provides Global Reach from March ARB

    Twelve Fairchild Air Force Base KC-135 Stratotankers have relocated to March Air Reserve Base to continue their Global Reach mission during Air Mobility Command’s premier exercise Mobility Guardian 2019 in September.   • Fairchild Airman wins 2018 American Legion Spirit of Service Award

    A Team Fairchild Airman was awarded the 2018 American Legion Spirit of Service Award at the annual American Legion Department Convention June 19. Airman 1st Class Nicholas Loew, 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Distribution specialist, was presented the award for his extensive community involvement on and off base.
  • Skyfest 2019 takes flight over Fairchild

    Team Fairchild hosted the Inland Northwest Skyfest 2019 Open House and Airshow for more than 70,000 members of the Inland Northwest community at Fairchild Air Force Base on June 22, 2019. Skyfest 2019 had the largest amount of visitors the base has seen in a decade. The event featured more than 13 aerial acts, 16 static display aircraft, and offered interactive experiences to showcase Pacific Northwest Airpower, including a performance by Team Fairchild’s Air Refueling Demo Team, the only demo team of its kind in Air Mobility Command.
  • Commander addresses Team Fairchild on ‘State of the Wing’

    Col. Derek Salmi, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, hosted three “State of the Wing” all-calls to discuss upcoming events for the wing, the way ahead on housing concerns and initiatives such as Fairchild University and Inland Spark Mar. 18, 20 and 22. Salmi also discussed his priority for the 92nd ARW to maintain full spectrum readiness, which goes beyond donning mission oriented protective posture gear.

    An all-female air refueling mission was performed by Team Fairchild Airmen today in honor of Women’s History Month at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The effort highlighted women’s integration in every aspect of the 92nd Air Refueling Wing mission, which is to provide responsive air refueling and agile combat support across the full-range of military operations.
  • Fairchild celebrates BSC week

    Team Fairchild honors the Air Force’s Biomedical Sciences Corps’ 54th anniversary by participating in the Air Force’s recognition of BSC Appreciation Week 28 Jan. through 1 Feb. The BSC comprises of a diversified range of subject matter experts within the Air Force’s patient care systems, such as optometry, clinical psychology, pharmacy, physical therapy and many more.
  • Fairchild fuels Global Thunder 2019

    Fairchild Airmen focused on sustaining mission readiness, rapid response and enhancing total force operations during Exercise Global Thunder 2019. Global Thunder is a U.S. Strategic Command exercise designed to ensure an efficient mission response by testing the ability for Airmen to execute command, control and operational procedures during simulated conflict scenarios. The exercise provided training opportunities and exercise scenarios for all U.S. Strategic Command mission areas, with a specific focus on nuclear readiness.
