  • Fairchild performs diversity and inclusion flight honoring Black History Month

    Team Fairchild Airmen conducted a diversity and inclusion flight in honor of Black History Month, Feb. 18, 2021. The mission refueled F-16C Fighting Falcons from Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. Due to limited diversity in the Air Force’s aviation community, the flight was important as it showcased diversity in the Air Force and embodied the importance of minority representation.

    Airmen from the 92nd and 141st Air Refueling Wings conducted exercise Titan Fury 21-1, Dec. 7-11, enabling mission success through readiness training. Titan Fury is a total force readiness exercise conducted to validate the training of our crews and ensure Fairchild’s Airmen can provide Rapid Global Mobility at a moment’s notice.
  • 92nd MXS innovates bracket essential to extending KC-135 lifespan

    The 92nd Maintenance Squadron aircraft metals technology shop, created a jackscrew mounting bracket for the KC-135 Stratotanker after the discovery of a damaged bracket during a routine inspection.
  • Fairchild paves way for project ‘Tesseract,’ improves aircraft availability

    Airmen and leaders from the 92nd Maintenance Group, 92nd Mission Support Group and 92nd Operations Group came together as part of an Air Force Headquarters Continuous Process of Improvement project focused on unit synchronization and improving mission efficiency.
  • Fairchild fuels RED FLAG-Alaska 20-3

    Team Fairchild’s KC-135 Stratotankers provided essential air refueling support during field training exercise RED FLAG-Alaska 20-3, August 3-12. RF-A 20-3 is a Pacific Air Forces-directed field training exercise for U.S. and international forces flown under simulated air combat conditions meant to provide realistic training in a simulated combat environment.
  • Fairchild KC-135 supports aeromedical evacuation training at Travis

    Team Fairchild provided KC-135 Stratotanker support during aeromedical evacuation training for the 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, Feb. 10-11. Training consisted of familiarization of the KC-135 airframe for emergency evacuation procedures, simulated in-flight medical emergencies, aircraft emergency simulations and medical equipment for both Fairchild and Travis Airmen in order to qualify for semi-annual requirements.

  • Ops never stops! Fairchild provides Global Reach from March ARB

    Twelve Fairchild Air Force Base KC-135 Stratotankers have relocated to March Air Reserve Base to continue their Global Reach mission during Air Mobility Command’s premier exercise Mobility Guardian 2019 in September. Fairchild AFB is partnering with March ARB to continue training crews and executing global taskings while U.S. and international partners exercise MG ’19 at home station.
  • Fairchild Airman wins 2018 American Legion Spirit of Service Award

    A Team Fairchild Airman was awarded the 2018 American Legion Spirit of Service Award at the annual American Legion Department Convention June 19. Airman 1st Class Nicholas Loew, 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuels Distribution specialist, was presented the award for his extensive community involvement on and off base.
  • Skyfest 2019 takes flight over Fairchild

    Team Fairchild hosted the Inland Northwest Skyfest 2019 Open House and Airshow for more than 70,000 members of the Inland Northwest community at Fairchild Air Force Base on June 22, 2019. Skyfest 2019 had the largest amount of visitors the base has seen in a decade. The event featured more than 13 aerial acts, 16 static display aircraft, and offered interactive experiences to showcase Pacific Northwest Airpower, including a performance by Team Fairchild’s Air Refueling Demo Team, the only demo team of its kind in Air Mobility Command.
