• Fairchild AFB Helps Spokane Indians Earn MiLB 2021 Organization of the Year

    Minor League Baseball announced today the Spokane Indians as 2021 Organization of the Year, due to their partnership with Fairchild Air Force Base for Operation Fly Together. The Spokane Indians claimed their first Organization of the Year Award after setting a franchise record in sponsorship sales, posting a 95% increase in online ticket sales and partnering with Fairchild Air Force Base for a program that generated national attention and was critically acclaimed.

  • Fairchild showcases capability in exercise Global Thunder 22

    Fairchild Airmen participated in the U.S. Strategic Command exercise, Global Thunder 22, Nov. 2-10, with the fundamental mission to deter, detect and prevent strategic attack against the United States and its allies. Exercise Global Thunder is an annual command and control exercise designed to train and assess U.S. Strategic Command forces’ readiness as a strategic deterrent force.
  • Team Fairchild SAPR provides new virtual reality training for Airmen

    Team Fairchild’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response unit implemented a new virtual reality training to continue to prepare Airmen in recognizing and assisting victims of sexual assault. The SAPR VR training comes from Air Mobility Command, and is designed to provide Airmen a hands-on experience with a situation they may have never been exposed to.
  • 92nd SFS Phoenix Ravens awarded AFAM for service during Operation Allies Refuge

    Three Phoenix Ravens from the 92nd Security Forces Squadron were recognized with Air Force Achievement Medals for their meritorious service and outstanding achievement during Operation Allies Refuge, Nov. 1, 2021. 2nd Lt. Luke Wales, Staff Sgt. Ivan Bustamante and Staff Sgt. Lorenzo Tafoya, 92nd SFS Airmen, deployed as Air Mobility Command Phoenix Ravens to provide critical in-flight security for nine sorties, which moved 2,100 passengers out of Afghanistan, contributing to the United States’ largest-humanitarian rescue of 124,000 refugees.

    Mr. Kevin Twohig from Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington won the Airlift/Tanker Association (A/TA) 2021 Tampa Bay Trophy in Orlando, Florida, October 29, 2021. The Tampa Bay Trophy recognizes a civic leader whose lifetime achievement and distinguished service to the United States Air Force and Air Mobility Command epitomizes the synergy between civilian and military communities.
  • Spokane Indians take flight for Operation Fly Together

    Team Fairchild hosted the Spokane Indians minor league baseball team adminstration for an orientation flight showcasing the KC-135 Stratotanker mission, Oct. 27, 2021. The flight was just one part of Operation Fly Together, a joint partnership built between Fairchild and the minor league team, intended to build deeper relationships with organizations throughout the community and honor local-to-Spokane veterans of the Armed Forces.

  • AAMVA certifies the 92nd LRS’s commercial driver’s license evaluation course

    The American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators certified the 92nd Logistics Readiness Squadron’s commercial driver’s license course at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, Sept. 24, 2021. This certification standardizes the training that Airmen who drive commercial vehicles will receive across the Air Force.
