Honorary commanders
Honorary commanders pose with Fairchild commanders before a three- hour flight on a KC-135 Stratotanker, Feb. 10. The Honorary Commanders program pairs Spokane Civic Leaders with personnel at Fairchild to form a bond and familiarize the community with Fairchild operations. Gary Gonzalez, 373rd Training Group Detachment 13 and incoming AFSA vice president, chapter 1462, present Chief Master Sgt. David Nordel, 92nd Air Refueling Wing Command Chief with two $51 checks - one from the 1462 Chapter and one from the AFSA Division 14 President, Chief Mater Sgt. Ret. Yeomans Feb. 3. From Nov. 5 to Dec. 31, 2008, AFSA Chapter 1462 had a recruiting drive with an outcome of 51 new members. With a pledge from the Division 14 President CMSgt. Ret. Yeomans to contribute $1 per recruit toward the Wing Command Chief fund. The Chapter pledged to match those funds from Division 14, dollar-to-dollar.
