Fairchild Airmen save homes from flooding
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken and Carol Wendt shown June 17 after the Pend Oreille River near Cusick, Wash. continues to rise. Forty student candidates and instructors from the 336th Training Group Survival Evasion Resistance Escape School at Fairchild filled roughly 10,000 sandbags in Pend Oreille County, Wash. on June 9, saving three homes from being flooded and making elderly homeowners extremely grateful and proud of the Air Force Airmen.
