Airman 1st Class Sean Apperson, 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron electrical systems technician, uses a shotgun (grip all stick) to pull out an elbow in a pad mount switch gear to isolate power to a building at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., July 15, 2011. Airman Apperson is wearing cal arc flash suit for protection. The electric shop maintains 699 facilities and 505 miles of utility systems and inspect service, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and modify all high and low-voltage electrical systems on base.
