This is the second C-17 Globemaster assigned to Joint Base Charleston, S.C., which took off this afternoon from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., for Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, N.J., Nov. 3. The wooden ramp allows the vehicles to enter without the top scraping against the roof of the aircraft. The C-5 departed with 19 BPA employee volunteers and five of their 14 vehicles at about 11 a.m. for Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst.
