    Fairchild provides installation employees the opportunity to enhance their emotional skills in a bimonthly Emotional Intelligence (EQ) resiliency class, an off-the-shelf course developed by TalentSmart. EQ teaches people how to recognize and manage their emotions.
  • SkyFest 2019 coming to Fairchild

    The free 2019 Inland Northwest SkyFest Airshow and Open House is scheduled to be held at Fairchild Air Force Base 22 June. SkyFest will feature the F-22 Demonstration Team, Air Force Academy’s Wings of Blue parachute team, U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team and a heritage flight of historical aircraft. One of Fairchild’s KC-135 Stratotankers will also perform a fly-by and low-pass air refueling demonstration.
  • U.S., partners plan together for Mobility Guardian

    Team Fairchild hosted the Mobility Guardian 2019 International Planning Conference Feb 4-7 where more than 180 representatives from 13 partners and 27 U.S. government agencies, including 21 total force air mobility wings, planned for the future exercise.
  • 92nd MDG celebrates 2-year anniversary of MHS Genesis arrival to Fairchild

    The 92nd Medical Group celebrated the second anniversary of Military Health System Genesis’ introduction to Fairchild by hosting a cake cutting ceremony Feb. 8 at Fairchild’s Medical Center. Fairchild’s 92nd MDG was selected as the first Department of Defense medical clinic to launch this $11 billion electronic health record system and has successfully used the program since Feb. 7, 2017.
  • Fairchild personnel receive alternate commuting awards

    Fairchild Air Force Base and four Airmen received awards at the Commute Trip Reduction Way-to-Go Award Luncheon, Feb. 7, in Spokane, Wash.
  • Team Fairchild first to train refueling KC-46

    A Team Fairchild KC-135 Stratotanker participated in air refueling training and support to the KC-46 Pegasus over Washington on January 22. This first of its kind event for an AMC KC-135 with an AMC crew enabled completion of the training required to successfully deliver two KC-46s to McConnell AFB later that week, on January 25.
  • Fairchild celebrates BSC week

    Team Fairchild honors the Air Force’s Biomedical Sciences Corps’ 54th anniversary by participating in the Air Force’s recognition of BSC Appreciation Week 28 Jan. through 1 Feb. The BSC comprises of a diversified range of subject matter experts within the Air Force’s patient care systems, such as optometry, clinical psychology, pharmacy, physical therapy and many more.
  • Active shooter exercise puts Team Fairchild to the test

    Team Fairchild executed an active shooter exercise Jan. 16, 2019. The exercise provided response training to nearly every member of the base. For responders from the 92nd Security Forces Squadron, 92nd Medical Group and 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron, training was put to the test with scenarios aimed at enhancing emergency response.

    Team Fairchild is kicking off the new year by going “Green in 19” and proactively promoting a cleaner and more energy-efficient community by continuing to mirror the Inland Northwest’s “green footprint” by promoting energy conservation practices not only throughout the Department of Defense, but also the Greater Spokane community.
  • Treats 2 Troops sends holiday spirit abroad

    During the month of December, more than 40 holiday care packages made their way to Team Fairchild Airmen stationed at Morón Air Base, Spain, as part of KREM 2 News’ initiative, Treats 2 Troops.
