  • Team Fairchild takes on new role supporting Red Flag 19-2

    Airmen from all over the nation have convened for Red Flag 19-2, a large-force exercise designed to provide aircrews exposure to a simulated combat environment, March 8-23, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Fairchild’s advanced team was tasked to coordinate all planning and refueling operations for KC-10 Extenders from Travis Air Force Base, California, and participating fighter aircraft.

    Team Fairchild’s 92nd Medical Group is celebrating Patient Safety Awareness Week to promote a higher level of engagement between patients and healthcare providers at the base clinic March 11-15. Patient Safety Awareness Week is an annual recognition event intended to encourage patients to learn more about improving communication with healthcare providers, healthcare safety and to create a safer environment for patient care.

  • Fast acting Medical Airmen save a life

    Two 92nd Medical Group Airmen, along with Fairchild Fire and Emergency Services, acted quickly in response to a shopper experiencing respiratory distress Nov. 2 at the Fairchild Air Force Base Commissary. Upon arrival, Fire and Emergency teams found Senior Airman Kayla Peña and Senior Airman Julie Fink, 92nd Medical Operations Squadron medical technicians, performing first-aid on the unconscious shopper.
  • Fairchild fuels Global Thunder 2019

    Fairchild Airmen focused on sustaining mission readiness, rapid response and enhancing total force operations during Exercise Global Thunder 2019. Global Thunder is a U.S. Strategic Command exercise designed to ensure an efficient mission response by testing the ability for Airmen to execute command, control and operational procedures during simulated conflict scenarios. The exercise provided training opportunities and exercise scenarios for all U.S. Strategic Command mission areas, with a specific focus on nuclear readiness.
