Kyle Hiener, 336th Training Support Squadron field’s operations NCO-in charge, lowers a grader to remove snow from roads in the Air Force Survival School Training Area in Cusick, Washington, Dec. 7, 2017. These Airmen are known throughout the Air Force as Civil Engineer “Dirt Boys,” but when they’re a part of the 336th Training Support Squadron, they’re called “Road Runners.” The Road Runners operate various vehicles to clear back roads in the National Forest, to include: motor graders, loaders, bulldozers and dump trucks.
