A memorial honoring 13 men who lost their lives was erected June 29, 2017 at memorial park at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. On September 8, 1958, two B-52 Stratofortress's collided in mid-air approximately 2 miles from the Fairchild AFB runway. The dedication for this memorial is scheduled for September 8, 2017, at Fairchild AFB, on the 59th anniversary of the crash. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Nick J. Daniello)
