92nd CES multi-agency aircraft response exercise

Senior Airman Daniel Simmons, 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordinance disposal technician, sets up to disarm a mock MK82 during a training exercise May 11, 2016, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. The training involved various 92nd CES agencies including members from the Fire Department, Emergency Management, Environmental and Explosive Ordinance Disposal; working together to resolve the incident. The crews responded to a simulated aircraft crash where an F-18 experienced various mechanical issues and clipped a nearby structure. During the descent, the pilot was forced to drop armament and then eject. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Taylor Bourgeous)
