June 28, 1957 marks the first KC-135 Stratotanker (tail number 55-3127) that was delivered to the United States Air Force. The aircraft was delivered to the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron, and then assigned to Castle Air Force Base, California. This was the first of three KC-135s that were delivered that day.
