Presenting the colors

The Fairchild Honor Guard presents the colors during the 92nd Security Forces Squadron change of command ceremony July 10, 2015, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. The Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem of the United States and has served in this capacity since a congressional resolution on March 3, 1931. Some historians note the song was also used officially by the U.S. Navy as early as 1889. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Sean Campbell)
