Congresswoman visits base firing range

Maj. Eric Horst, 92nd Security Forces Squadron commander, briefs Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, U.S. Representative for Washington's 5th congressional district, on small arms firing rage operations during a tour April 1, 2015, at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. McMorris Rodgers received a demonstration of the training as Airmen fired rounds into targets placed at specific distances. In order to ensure safety and prevent misuse the students are required to attend a class on weapon safety to learn how to properly handle and clear out a loaded weapon before dealing with live rounds.
