A Fairchild salute to veterans

Despite frigid temperatures and gusty winds, an Airway Heights’ Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3386 member renders a salute as fellow community members, Fairchild Air Force Base’s Honor Guard and Boy Scout Troop 342 brave the cold during the wreath dedication portion of a Veterans Day ceremony at Fort George Wright Veterans Cemetery, Nov. 11, 2014, in Spokane, Wash. The VFW, Honor Guard, and Boy Scouts presented the colors, wreaths and honors during this Veterans Day ceremony that brought service and community members together. Veterans Day is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Benjamin W. Stratton)
