Bioenvironmental Engineering conducts CBRN exercise with Emergency Management and Fire

Staff Sgt. Jeremy Parks, 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management craftsman, explains what happened during a field exercise at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., Aug. 1, 2013. During the Integrated Base Emergency Response Capability Training field exercise, emergency responders increase their capabilities by learning and conducting Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (CBRN) focused vulnerability assessments, participating in first responder training, applying countermeasure and defense applications, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment, and demonstrating proficiency with CBRN identification and analytical equipment and methodologies.
