Over 80 employers from local to nationwide companies set up booths at the 2013 Hiring our Heroes career fair at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center in Spokane, Wash., Sept. 24, 2013. This event, conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, was sponsored by many other partners including the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, the City of Spokane, NBC News and many more. While aiming to benefit the unemployed and underemployed veterans, active-duty members and National Guard and reservists, it was also open to their family members.
