Local media flies with Air Force Thunderbirds

Crew chiefs prepare a U.S. Air Force Thunderbird with orientation flight rider, Leslie Lowe, for takeoff as part of SkyFest 2014 at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., May 29, 2014. The Thunderbirds is an Air Combat Command unit composed of eight pilots, including six demonstration pilots, four support officers, three civilians and more than 130 enlisted personnel performing in 25 career fields. SkyFest is Fairchild’s air show and open house, giving the local and regional community the opportunity to view Airmen and our resources. Lowe is a KHQ 6 reporter. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
