National guardsmen appreciated at Michael Anderson School

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. – Guardsmen at Michael Anderson School shovel a flat cafeteria roof, broke up ice dams, opened storm drains and cleared fire exits here Jan. 8. Nearly 200 Air and Army National Guard personnel assisted with snow removal throughout the Spokane region. Guardsmen were called by an emergency proclamation issued by Governor Chris Gregoire.
