FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. – Senior Airman Alex Parrish, 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, explains the wear and uses of a firefighter’s gear. Airman Parrish was a tour leader for 12 Spokane, Wash., North Wall Elementary School students May 29. At Fire Station 1, the children, ranging in age from 6 to 8, also got a close-up look at the station’s emergency call center, and were able to see a fire truck’s impressive water-spraying capabilities.
