Burning banned in Spokane County

Spokane County entered a 60-day burning ban July 13. Open burning and recreational fires within the unincorporated areas of the county are banned for the two-month period. As long as appropriate approvals are obtained, the ban does not preclude burning otherwise sanctioned by Ordinance, such as field burning, or the use of backyard barbecues, chimneys and other patio/deck warmers with approved fuel such as seasoned firewood, briquettes or propane.
