Steven Selser, 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron natural and cultural resources manager, slices green apples before he tosses them into the woods for deer as tasty treats Aug. 23, 2012 at Fairchild’s nature trail located near the Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape side of at Fairchild Air Force Base. Selser said initially deer wasn’t eating the apples, but after a few days he saw the slices completely gone. Since then, he has been tossing apples on the nature trail daily.
