This is the second C-17 Globemaster assigned to Joint Base Charleston, S.C., which took off this afternoon from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., for Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, N.J., Nov. 3. A total of 19 Bonneville Power Administration employee volunteers from the Spokane region and 14 of their vehicles will make their way to Long Island, New York to help restore power that was knocked out by Hurricane Sandy.
