Removing wildlife for a safe flight

‘Bird balls’ begin to cover the surface of a natural pond located on the flight line at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., June 19, 2013. These bird balls are placed into the ponds covering the entire surface, this prevents birds from landing and making the area less appealing to them.
