92nd Air Refueling Wing demonstrates strategic deterrence readiness for Titan Fury 24-2
Airman 1st Class William Hill, an aircraft maintainer assigned to the 92nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, adjusts the hydraulic pressure on a KC-135 Stratotanker during exercise Titan Fury 24-2 at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, March 18, 2024. During the exercise, Airmen demonstrated how Fairchild AFB generates and provides, when directed, specially trained and equipped aircrews to conduct critical air refueling of U.S. Strategic Command-assigned strategic bomber and command and control aircraft. For decades, the KC-135 has been the backbone of Air Mobility Command’s air refueling capabilities around the world because of its ability to extend global reach and project U.S. air power. This exercise demonstrated how the 92nd Air Refueling Wing is engaged, postured and ready with a credible force to assure, deter and defend in an increasingly complex security environment. A KC-135 Stratotanker refuels a B-52 Stratofortress over the Pacific Northwest region of the United States during exercise Titan Fury 24-1, Nov. 17, 2023. Titan Fury is a recurring total force exercise that ensures Fairchild’s Airmen are trained and ready to provide Rapid Global Mobility at a moment’s notice in support of strategic deterrence and the National Defense Strategy. During the exercise, Airmen demonstrated how various support activities contribute to generating and mobilizing KC-135s including security, maintenance, services, fuel operations and others. For decades, the KC-135 has been the backbone of air refueling around the globe because of its ability to extend global reach and project U.S. air power. This exercise is an example of how the 92nd Air Refueling Wing and the 141st Air Refueling Wing at Fairchild AFB are engaged, postured and ready with a credible force to assure, deter and defend in an increasingly complex security environment. 92nd Operations Group Hosts 'boom rodeo'
U.S. Airmen assigned to the 92nd and 350th Air Refueling Squadrons direct a forklift into position to load cargo into a KC-135 Stratotanker during a “boom rodeo” hosted by the 92nd Operations Group at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, Sept. 20, 2023. During the rodeo, six air refueling squadrons competed in a forklift loading event, Tactical Combat Casualty Care and a water survival scenario. Scenarios like this enable Airmen to get hands-on training with tools to which they may not otherwise have access. These competitions also build camaraderie between units from different bases and provide friendly competition to motivate Airmen to perform their best.
