Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. --  Awesome. Absolutely awesome.

Words can not express how proud I am of all every Team Fairchild warrior! The wing has overcome significant hurdles over the past 8 weeks from inspections to an exercise. Like Professional Expeditionary Airmen, you rose to the occasion and achieved exceptional results.

So, I would like to take this time to recognize Fairchild's outstanding successes starting with our recent Unit Compliance Inspection.

I challenged you before the UCI to knock it out of the park. That's exactly what you did. What a great honor for me to be among a base of excellence! I knew it, you knew it, and now AMC has validated it. Fairchild came out fighting - earning an overall score of Excellent. Thirty-seven warriors were individually recognized by the inspectors for outstanding performance. Additionally, 27 Fairchild teams were also recognized under the Team Recognition category for their great abilities. Well done!

Additionally, wing leadership did not expect anything less than excellence from you on your performance during the Strategic Command Global Thunder exercise. You came out on top and rocked it with a tremendous performance. Team Fairchild used its dedication to professionalism and the warrior mentality to accomplish the challenging exercise.

As previously mentioned, over the past eight weeks the wing faced significant hurdles, but nothing could slow Team Fairchild down! From the Aircrew Standardization Evaluation Visit, to the Weather Standardization Evaluation Program and Air Traffic System Evaluation you earned the winning overall grade of Mission Ready!

Also, on the Logistics Standardization and Evaluation Program inspection, Team Fairchild devoured the inspection and spit out an "Excellent" in true warfighter fashion.

And what more can I say about the Environmental and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment Management Program? You simply set the new standard.

Team, you continually impress me with your hard work and dedication while getting the mission accomplished. You rock! Further, as you know I am a strong believer in work hard play hard. As a token of our appreciation for a spectacular performance during the recent exercise and evaluations the wing hosted a Commander's Challenge Sports Day dedicated to you, Fairchild warriors and your families. You deserved it. I salute you for your steadfastness and continuous hard work.

Over the past two months, you came out to win and you set the new standard. All I can say is you are awesome...Absolutely awesome.
