Join the 92nd MDG as we ‘Stand Up for Patient Safety’ Published March 13, 2017 By 92nd Medical Group 92nd Medical Group FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- As a demonstration of our commitment to the well-being of our patients, the 92nd Medical Group has, for the third year in a row, joined the National Patient Safety Foundation and many other leading hospitals and health systems across the country in the Stand Up for Patient Safety program. NPSF recognizes the imminent needs of healthcare organizations to embed patient safety in the care delivery process. The Stand Up for Patient Safety program brings together healthcare facilities from across the country to improve patient safety and increase awareness of this vital issue among staff, patients, and the community. Participation in this program positions the 92nd MDG as a leader in patient safety and aligns organizational initiatives with national patient safety goals. As part of this program, the 92nd MDG will distribute Stand Up for Patient Safety educational materials to clinic staff members and patients. These and other activities planned for the Stand Up for Patient Safety program are designed to: Reinforce patient safety as a top priority for all staff members Provide patients and families with information on how to make their health care safer Encourage patients to ask questions about patient safety issues While we know that the occurrence of medical errors continues to be a serious problem in the healthcare system, we at the 92nd MDG believe that one preventable error is one too many. That is why we are proud to lead the effort to Stand Up for Patient Safety. We invite everyone to join us in this important program. NPSF is an independent not-for-profit organization.
