New commander takes the reins at 92nd CONS

Maj. Brian Robertson assumed command of the 92nd Contracting Squadron from Maj. Kathryn Hinds, during a change of command ceremony held here, July 8.

Robertson was previously the Chief of Contracting Officers Assignments, Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio- Randolph, Texas.

“To the men and women of the 92nd CONS. This journey has been more than expected and you’ve been the best group a commander could have,” Hinds said.

Hinds is going to the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, Alabama for the Intermediate Development Educaton course.

Robertson commissioned in the Air Force in 2005 as a contracting officer. Since then he has served Chief of Contracts for the Non-Traditional SIGINT Program office at the National Reconnaissance Office where he led a contracting team responsible for satellite acquisition and launch programs valued at over $890 million dollars. He has deployed three times in support of contingency operations.

“Men and women of the 92nd Contracting Squadron, I am deeply humbled to be your commander,” Robertson said. “You are an amazing group of professionals. Not only the best in Air Mobility Command, but in the United States Air Force. I will do everything in my power to take the 92nd CONS to these continued heights.”

This is Robertson’s first time as a squadron commander.
