Vice Commander bids farewell, receives two medals

FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. --  Col. Brian Hill, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing vice commander, bade farewell to Team Fairchild and received two medals June 10 at the Final Point.

Hill received the Legion of Merit, presented by Col. Brian McDaniel, the 92nd ARW commander, and the Washington Air National Guard Meritorious Service Medal, presented by Col. Dan Swain, 141st ARW commander.

The Legion of Merit is a military award given for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. Hill received the Washington Air National Guard Meritorious Service Medal for his performance of outstanding service to the ANG over the past two years as the 92nd ARW and 141st ARW's worked toward achieving total force integration between the active duty and air guard components.
