SPOKANE, Wash. -- Fairchild base leadership provided a patriotic message while the honor guard presented the colors during the opening ceremonies of the Spokane, Washington, July Fourth celebrations in Riverfront Park July 4.

Col. Brian McDaniel, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, addressed nearly 5,000 people as he explained the installation's role in the community and mission of global reach for America.
