SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Shock put on a military appreciation night July 17 at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Fairchild Air Force Base Airmen helped to put on the event, Col. Brian McDaniel, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, was honorary captain, Tech. Sgt. Lloyd Kelly, the 92nd Communications Squadron resource advisor, sang "God Bless America" during halftime and the Fairchild AFB Honor Guard presented the colors.
