Airmen from the 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron joined base leadership to participate in the annual tradition known as the "Snow Parade," which symbolizes the formal beginning of snow removal season, Oct. 14, here.

Twenty pieces of snow removal equipment were part of the tradition, which dates back more than 60 years.

The Fairchild snow removal team uses a variety of large vehicles to keep the flightline clear including snow plows, snow brooms, snow blowers, three tool cats and light plows. The team is responsible for snow and ice control across the entire flightline, all aircraft parking areas and taxiways. They also remove snow from streets and parking areas on base.
