According to the base weather shop, the average amount of snow the base gets each snow season is 42 inches. This December alone we've already had about 21 inches of snow. That's the most snow in December since the record-setting year of 2008, when 61.5 inches of snow fell in Spokane. The nearly one foot deep layer of snow that is in Spokane will stick around this week with highs forecasted to be in the 20s and lows in the teens through the weekend. While the snow's here, make sure to drive safely and keep warm when having fun in the winter wonderland.
