Winter Sports Day serves as a day for the 92nd Air Refueling Wing family to unwind, play sports, compete and stay fit.

This year, Winter Sports Day was organized by Senior Airman Jan Michael Obiniana, 92nd Force Support Squadron, intramural sports director with the help of Tech. Sgt Troy Farley, 92nd FSS fitness section chief.

"It's the perfect time to take a day to just play sports," said Obiniana.

Overall, there were 862 individuals participating, making up 212 teams. The day consisted of 13 events. They included hotshot, a relay race, doubles racquet ball, three-on-three basketball, blind volleyball, tug-of-war, cornhole, dodgeball, a boat race, wallyball, ultimate football, iron cross and a chili cook off.

"I think that sports days help strengthen camaraderie and teamwork." said Farley "The events offered were the activities unit sports representatives sent to us, based on what their units wanted to play."

The overall winner this year is the 92nd Security Forces Squadron. They placed first in corn hole, three-on-three basketball, iron cross and placed third in tug-of-war.
