Dining facility pushes dress code to customers Published Aug. 13, 2013 By Senior Airman Taylor Curry 92nd Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- The dining facilities on base constantly pursue new ways to make the environment a better place to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, but when customers don't uphold proper etiquette, then that may dampen the experience others try to take from dining. That's why there are guidelines to follow while at the DFAC. The following dress code and personal grooming standards will be adhered to when dining at the Warrior and Roger A. Ross dining facilities: -Bare feet, house slippers, flip flops and other shoes that are not secured to the foot are unacceptable, but sandals are permitted. -Swimwear, sleep wear and clothing with offensive, obscene, profane or lewd words/drawings are prohibited. -Dress and grooming standards must always support the highest sanitary conditions. -Soiled clothing, muscle shirts, halter tops and underwear as an outer garment are prohibited. -Headgear of any kind must be removed upon entering the dining facilities. "There are occasions where we get people that don't follow the dress code at the dining facility," said Master Sgt. Miranda Drummond, Warrior Dining Facility NCO in charge. "If someone is not dressed correctly, we'll simply go up to them, remind them of the rules and ask them to get their food to go and to please follow the dress code the next time they return." The Warrior Dining Facility hours of operation are listed: Breakfast 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. Lunch 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Midnight meal 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. There are also grab-and-go opportunities for snacks between breakfast to lunch and lunch to dinner.
