Duty title: Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Specialist

What do you do on a daily basis at Fairchild Air Force Base? I instruct Subject Matter Expert training for certified SERE Specialist. Some of the courses I instruct are Advanced Evasion courses, hand to hand combative training, weapons training, and escape courses. I am also part of the 22nd TRS Stan Evaluation shop so I conduct periodic evaluations.

What do you enjoy about your job? My specific job within the SERE carrier field is very rewarding. I get the opportunity to attend a lot of advanced courses and bring those skills back to teach them to my fellow SERE Specialist. This gives me a great opportunity to continually learn and teach.

Why did you choose to serve in the military? I chose to serve in the military due to 9/11. After September 11, 2001, I was much convicted to serve my country. I also knew that being in the military would cause me to strive to be continually better.

What is your greatest accomplishment? I would have to say that my children are my greatest accomplishment.

What goals do you want to achieve or meet while at Fairchild Air Force Base? I want to finish my Bachelors degree.

Who is your favorite mentor and what did you learn from him/her? My Dad is my favorite mentor. I learned to have a great work ethic, how to be a good Dad, how to listen, and to never give up.

If you could spend one hour with any person, who would it be and why? I would spend one hour with Jesus because he could answer all of my questions.
