Fairchild Falcons varsity hockey team plays to base leadership’s call

CHENEY, Wash. --  The top two from each wing at Team Fairchild led their respective squad in a Blue vs. White scrimmage featuring players from Fairchild's varsity hockey team at Eastern Washington University's University Recreation Center in Cheney, Wash., March 14.

Col. Brian Newberry and Chief Master Sgt. Wendy Hansen, the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander and command chief, led the White squad as they squared off against the Blue squad led by Col. Daniel Swain and Chief Master Sgt. Wayne Deist, the 141st Air Refueling Wing commander and command chief.

From the team's beginning in early 2013, the Fairchild Falcons hockey team has quickly established itself as a military program to be reckoned with following their Division 2 Championship at the 2013 Armed Forces Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. The team thanks Fairchild leadership and community for all the support and looks forward to the future of Falcons Hockey.
