Fairchild Airmen recognized as “Diamond Sharp”
Senior Airmen Clinton Manning and Charles Fletcher and Airmen 1st Class Janelle Patiño and Garrett Bowman pose with Col. Brian Newberry and Chief Master Sgt. Wendy Hansen during the monthly Diamond Sharp first sergeant recognition ceremony in the Warrior Dining Facility at Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., June 17, 2014. “Diamond Sharp is one of our marquee events of the month--along with our monthly promotion ceremony,” Newberry said. “It is a chance to celebrate our Airmen who are advancing the call.” The colonel said June's Diamond Sharp was no different with the wing’s Airmen standing tall with a "can do" attitude, particularly stepping up with excellent airshow coverage. Newberry is the 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander and Hansen is the 92nd ARW command chief. Manning is a 92nd Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator and Fletcher is a 92nd Security Forces Squadron installation patrolman. Patiño is a 92nd ARW public affairs photojournalist and Bowman is a 36th Rescue Flight administrative assistant.
