Briefly Published March 22, 2007 FAIRCHILD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Yard Waste Pick-up in Fairchild Housing Yard waste pick-up has begun in Military Family Housing; the service will continue through Nov. 30. Yard waste materials include: leaves, grass cuttings, shrub and tree trimmings. Yard waste must be separated from trash and recyclable material. Place yard waste in the large 96-gallon roller cart with green lid. Waste that cannot fit inside the roller cart may be placed in white or semi-transparent bags. Pruning clippings or branches should be bundled with a zip-tie or twine (no wire please.) Bundles must be less than 5 feet long with each branch less than 3 inches in diameter. Bundles and bags should weigh less than 65 pounds. For more information, contact the housing office at 247-5562.
